Public Companies’ Net Bitcoin Changes in Q2 2026, data as of 2026-08-14
Net change = the bitcoin the company states it held at June 30, 2026 minus what it states it held at March 31, 2026, in BTC. The counts are not all on the same basis: most include bitcoin pledged as collateral or loaned out, miners’ counts are mining inventory, Coinbase’s and Block’s are bitcoin held for investment, CleanSpark’s excludes a collateral receivable, and Hut 8 is shown without American Bitcoin, which is listed separately. Trump Media is left out because its filings do not state one total for both dates, and companies without a clean count at both dates (Galaxy, Bullish) or with different fiscal quarters (GameStop) are not shown. Ranks are by net change; ties share a rank. This is a net figure, so a company can have bought and sold within the quarter. Observed facts from filings, not a forecast.

Strategy alone accounts for most of the bitcoin added: its +83,901 BTC is more than the other ten adders combined. 11 companies added bitcoin, and only four added more than 1,000 BTC. The biggest reduction was Riot Platforms, down 4,299 BTC: its 10-Qs show about 5,887 BTC sold in the quarter against about 1,587 mined.9 For a company-by-company view of holdings today, see the largest public bitcoin treasury companies.
