Public Bitcoin Miners Ranked by Institutional Ownership in 13F Filings
Large managers report the stocks they hold to the SEC each quarter on Form 13F. This ranks 14 public bitcoin mining companies by the total value those filers reported at June 30, 2026 and shows how many filers hold each: $66.5 billion in all. Several of these companies also sell computing capacity for AI work, so a high rank is not a measure of bitcoin exposure.

Value reported = the dollar value in 13F reports for the company’s main listed share class, summed over filers; options and other share classes are excluded. Filers = distinct 13F filers reporting the shares; where a filer also made an amendment the original is used. A filer’s report can include client accounts, index funds and positions held to hedge or trade, and combination reports may overlap with other filers’ own reports, so totals are not de-duplicated; only managers with $100 million or more in 13(f) securities file.12 The companies are those with bitcoin mining operations that appear in this data set; Galaxy Digital, Applied Digital and similar firms that host or trade rather than mine are not included. Observed facts, not a forecast.
